Session 4; 'STORYBOARDING & SCRIPTING'

Script:
Throughout the process of creating a script, in our group we made several versions to our script. The reason for this is because our first script had different variety of language some of which that was not needed and we changed all the language to sophisticated old English. Also we are using a young cast for a old Greek mythology and swearing was used in one of the versions of the script we changed this because we didn’t want young people of our generation to be reflected as bad and also keep the ‘Apple of Discord’ clean. The final script which we adapted is much more longer and detailed which allowed us to create a better and precise storyboard to follow.

This is our final version of our script that we have adapted for the Trojan War story.

For the storyboard I have used 'Slideshare' to upload our final storyboard. Below I am going to put a link up that goes to our storyboard and this also consisted of 73 slides:

Storyboards are important for a variety of reasons it allows you to follow a guideline and fully catch the shots you need to take for your short film feature. The storyboard keeps the film sequence in order to keep an narrative flow. The storyboard words from the script into different units which make it easier to see of the directors ideas can be transferred onto screen.
Storyboards are useful between 'Production' because they can be given out to the whole crew of the group so when filming is being done everyone will know what is required for each shot in the way of the camera movements and movement of the actors. By using a storyboard during the Production it allows this allow the actors performance to be more convincing while they are being filmed because the director is going to be using the storyboard on set.
